The mild Spring arrives as early as February, with some Rhodos and some trees often blossoming in January. Summer is comfortably warm and dry with temperatures from 18° to 32°C (65° to 90°F). Victoria British Columbia has a very low humidity ratio and almost constant offshore breezes, which keep summer days from becoming too hot and summer evenings somewhat cool. The
average monthly rainfall in summer is less than 2.5 cm (1").
Victoria often enjoys a warm, sunny September and in late October
deciduous trees turn the city to gold, but lawns and golf courses

Columbia Vancouver Island is located to the West of Vancouver British Columbia. A good portion of the Island is below the 49th parallel (American Border). Vancouver Island is over 500 kilometers long (300 miles). It takes about 6.5 hours to drive from Victoria BC on the south end of the Island to Port Hardy on the north end of the Vancouver Island. There are small towns and cities along the way so you will never be far from the services you need. Although Vancouver Island is well inhabited, there are many places where you will find wilderness and wild life is abundant throughout the Island. There are eight tourism regions on the island and they are shown on the Vancouver Island page. Travel to and from Vancouver Island is fast, convenient and relaxing. Air service includes scheduled flights by major airlines to Victoria International airport, the Nanaimo airport and the Comox airport. There are also harbour to harbour helicopter and float plane services. Smaller airlines travel throughout the island and there are chartered flights to various Island locations. Ferry service is available from several mainland British Columbia and Washington points as well as between locations on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The Ferries travel through some of the finest scenery imaginable. Vancouver Island has a population of over 750,000 and stretches southeast to northwest along the western coast of British Columbia. The rugged west coast is cut deeply by fjords (inlets) bordered by mountains. Many of the communities are located along the shores of protected bays and inlets.
