School Opening: 2010/11 School Year
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 7, 2010 for most students (exceptions are at kindergarten, middle and secondary school levels - where the first day of attendance depends on the student's grade level). Please see the school opening procedures below for specific information regarding the first day of school.
September 8, 2010 is a regular school day for all students with the exception of kindergarten.
For specific start dates and times for a particular school, please see the First Day Start Times section below.
Student Registration
- All new students must register by Thursday, September 2, 2010 to be guaranteed enrolment in their neighbourhood school (provided the appropriate program and resources are available). This includes students entering kindergarten or the public school system for the first time; students who have moved from another school district; and students who have moved to a new school catchment area from a previous Campbell River school.
- Students who register after September 2, 2010 will have their name placed on the school assignment list, with priority of enrolment dependent on the order in which the application was received at the school's main office. If the school isn't able to accommodate the student, they will be required to attend a nearby school.
- Clerical and administrative staff will be available at schools starting August 30, 2010. Select the appropriate school from the list below to view the times that your neighbourhood school will be open to process student registrations. Click for more information about Campbell River schools and to learn which schools serve a particular neighbourhood.
