SD72 is once again offering a variety of exciting Summer School offerings during July. Some programs run the entire month, others for two week sessions. Register for Summer School before June 28.
Students watched and learned about tradition foods and their preparation from Andy Speck, assisted by his son Cole on our Indigenous Feast Day. They had cedar wrack baked salmon and bannock on the lawn together and watched our drum group sing, drum and dance.
Most Tuesdays the Cedar Culture group meets to drum, dance, socialize and have a meal together. The sessions run from 4-7 PM and are hosted by MaryAnn and often Jacob and Shelley. Qwaya Sam, Floyd Jackson and Tommy George are the lead drummers of the group and Ursula Lucas is vital to making things happen. We thank them for their great contributions.
Cedar's musical of It's A Jungle out There was a great success this past Wednesday and Thursday in the gym. Way to go to all our staff and students and volunteers on a great show.

Summer Band will be offered from July 9 to 20 at Timberline Secondary. Register by June 22 to hold a space in this program.
