This week marks the end of term three which means we are rapidly moving towards the end of the school year.  To put the remainder of the year in perspective, we have approximately 50 school days left until we begin our final assessments and exams.
Next Thursday you will be able to access term three student report cards on “parent connect”. Please call the office (923-9500) if you need a hard copy of the report card or have trouble logging on to the web page.  You will notice a lot of information about grad in this and coming issues of our newsletter. Please take the time to discuss with your son or daughter his or her grad plan to make sure everything is in place for a
successful graduation. Remember that all grads must be on the grad list posted outside the counseling office by May 31st if they plan to attend the Grad ceremonies in June. If you have any questions please connect with one of our counselors.

Our musical theatre production of Little Women is coming up and I have no doubts that it will be a wonderful success. Students and staff have put in countless hours to produce a musical of exceptional quality. There are still tickets available and we would like to see a packed theatre each night.

Congratulations to Brett Nelson and Dawson Mackay who competed at the Canadian National Championships last weekend in Guelph, Ontario.  Both young men
represented the school and community well. Brett won the National Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling while Dawson Mackay placed 5
th. Brett winning a national title is an incredible achievement. I would also like to mention C.J. Foy who qualified for the national tournament but was unable to compete because of an injury sustained in the provincial tournament. His wrestling coaches think C.J. would have also done very well and are looking forward to what he will accomplish in the future. The staff at
Timberline are proud of the accomplishments of our students!

Lastly, I would like to thank all of our parents and particularly our PAC who have
supported a number of initiatives, programs, and improvement efforts at the school. We are appreciative of the new digital camera’s for the digital media class, the new gear for our outdoor club and next year’s adventure program, and for the ongoing
support of our athletic teams, extra-curricular clubs, and the commitment to school improvement efforts.  Our partnership with parents is a key part of our school.

Kind regards,
Jeremy Morrow
