The health and safety of our students and staff are always our top priority in the Campbell River School District. We continue to work closely with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Vancouver Island Health Authority to provide you with the latest information on COVID-19.
Health & Safety
Using the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health and the BC Centre for Disease Control, staff worked diligently to ensure safety protocols and measures were in place when students returned to schools in September. Our district's COVID-19 school occupancy protocols guide every aspect of school operations and detail what families, students and staff expect in schools and sites across the district.
School Restart Plan 2020-2021
The Campbell River School District was required to submit a restart plan to the Ministry of Education for approval before schools opened in September.
The Vancouver Island Health Authority manages the notification process for possible COVID-19 exposures in our schools. In September 2020 Island Health established a website to provide exposure notification for kindergarten to grade 12 schools in the health region. This website provides timely and accurate information for parents, teachers, staff and students about COVID-19 cases in our schools as they occur and details about the school notification process.
