7,8 & 9 Class Field Trip – Friday, May 8, 2026

Supervisor: Taylor Wren

Our 7,8 & 9 Class is heading out for a special celebratory field trip to Velocity Driving Range & Restaurant and the Campbell River Art Gallery. This outing celebrates our 10 weeks of spelling success, encourages teamwork and connection, and offers hands‑on learning experiences in both recreation and the arts.

Transportation & Schedule

  • 7:30 a.m.Parent drop‑off at the ferry
  • 8:50 a.m. – Bus pick‑up from Quadra Store to Quathiaski Cove
  • 10:30 a.m. – Pick‑up from Campbell River Ferry Terminal to Velocity
    (Students will be waiting in the nearby park prior to pickup.)
  • 12:00 p.m. – Pick‑up from Velocity to the Campbell River Art Gallery
  • Walk to ferry
  • 2:15 Bus pick up from Quathiaski Cove to Heriot Bay
  • 3:50 p.m.Parent pick‑up at the ferry

Destination Highlights

Velocity Driving Range & Restaurant
Students will be seated in covered booths, where lunch will be served. They will have the opportunity to try basic golf techniques in a fun, supportive setting while enjoying quality time together to celebrate their achievements.

Campbell River Art Gallery
Students will participate in the gallery’s school exhibition program, exploring the current main exhibition, Sacred in All Forms (May 7 – August 8, 2026). This exhibition features contemporary Canadian artists and explores themes of creativity, care, storytelling, and relationships to land and community. A guided art activity inspired by the exhibition will follow. [crartgallery.ca]

  • Backpack with water bottle and snacks
  • Rain jacket and comfortable walking shoes

Important Reminders

  • Cell phones must remain in backpacks at all times
    (Only permitted for calling a parent at pick‑up if needed.)
  • Parents are responsible for ferry drop‑off and pick‑up
