Student Report Cards and Student Marks

June 27, 2014
June 27, 2014

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Grades 10, 11 and 12
An Essential Services Order required teachers to compile and submit marks for Grades 10, 11 and 12 students only.  Report cards for Grade 10, 11 and 12 students will be available on Parent Connect by Monday, June 30th.  If you wish a printed copy, please contact the school.  Should you require assistance with “Parent Connect” please contact the School District “Help Desk” at 250-2387 ext. 1.
Kindergarten to Grade 9
The Essential Services Order did not require teachers to submit marks for Kindergarten to Grade 9 students. Therefore, due to the continuation of the labour dispute, the school district will not be able to provide final report cards or students’ marks for this school year. Please be assured that all students in Kindergarten through Grade 9 will be promoted to the next grade level. Parents and guardians of students from Kindergarten through grade 7 should have received monthly communication throughout the year regarding individual student progress. The same is true for many students in grade 8. In September, as part of teachers’ regular practice, student assessment will occur and teachers will use that information to plan for instruction.
Report cards prepared by Vice-Principals who are responsible for a classroom will be mailed home to parents on or before June 30th.
If you have specific questions or concerns regarding your child or your school, please contact your school principal.
We also encourage parents to keep up to date by checking the school district website at www.sd72.bc.ca
