Trades Sampler Program Now Accepting Applications

​Applicatons are now being accepted for the Trades Sampler program through North Island College. Trades Sampler is a sample of the trades training offered at North Island College.

Available trades include: welding, metal fabrication, piping trades, electrical, automotive, heavy duty mechanics, electronics and construction, as well as the opportunity for math upgrades, forklift training, first aid and more.

The program begins January 28, 2019 and will conclude at the end of April 2019. At the end of the three month program, students have the option of taking part in Cooperative Education 12A and 12B work placements.

This program is open to any grade 11 or grade 12 student who can re-arrange their schedule to be available full-time in the NIC program. Students will receive 12 credits for successful program completion and it is open to all students in SD72.

Please note that the program has limited number of spaces. These spots will be alloted on a first come, first serve basis.
