SD72 Students Shine at Regional Skills Competition

​Forty-two SD72 students participated in the North Island Regional Skills competition held on March 8 at GP Vanier Secondary. Congratulations to those Timberline and Carihi competitors who were successful in winning awards in the following areas:

Carihi
Cassandra Bettenson, silver for baking; Hunter Abrams, gold for culinary arts; Aidan & Kayla Lund, silver for 3D computer animation; Robert Gurney & Cameron Vaughn, bronze for TV video; Jordan Shaw, Nayland McGill & Joshua Taks, silver for wind turbine; and Tadgh Monteith, bronze for wind turbine.

Timberline
Ben Bellosillo & Owen Knudsen, gold for 3D computer animation; Josh Wouters & Chloe Schofield, gold for 2D computer animation; Isaac Morrow, gold for website design; Chad Graham, gold for cabinet making; Nick Mear, bronze for cabinet making; Tatum Feeny, gold for digital art; Grady Robertson & Noah Vaton, gold for TV video; and Oscar Schmuland & Ian Boyd, silver for TV video.

Gold winners will participate at the Provincial Skills Canada competition on April 17 in Abbotsford.
