Young Athletes Shine at District Track Meet

Students from across the district came together for a day of friendly competition and school spirit at the annual track meet on May 14 at École Phoenix Middle School.

The event brought together students in Grades 5 to 7 to take part in a full day of track and field activities. Events included discus, shot put, high jump and long jump, along with track races ranging from the 100-metre and 200-metre sprints to the 400-metre and 1200-metre distances.

Throughout the day, students showed determination, teamwork and a strong sense of sportsmanship. Whether competing on the track or cheering on classmates, the meet created a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Staff and volunteers played an important role in supporting the event, helping to ensure it ran smoothly and safely for everyone involved.

The district also extends its thanks to the local organizations and businesses who contributed to the success of the meet. Their support helped make the day possible for students.
