BC School Sports Mountain Bike Provincials

Last week, SD #72 students participated in the Mt. Bike Provincials in Powell River. They competed in the Enduro and/or Cross Country. The Carihi Sr. Boys finished in the top 24 with Gavin Chatterton taking first place for Cross Country.  

The Carihi Jr. Boys were faster than over ½ of the competitors in the XC. Congratulations to Cameron Meldrum for taking the podium with second place. The Jr. Boy's Enduro had 130 competitors and Carihi's boys rode aggressively. Carihi's Jr Girls, Lu and Rhyley, attended their first Provincials race with which they competed fiercely in both the Enduro and Cross Country.   

Phoenix's Bantam Boys finished in the top 10 in Cross Country and competed well in a group of 53 riders in the Enduro. Well done everyone!
