Southgate Parking Etiquette

We sent out parking guidelines at the beginning of the school year, but we have noticed that there has been some confusion. 

Morning Drop Off/ Afternoon Pickup-

Parents and Guardians, avoid parking on Holm Road due to congestion and lack of visibility. Please continue to use the student pick up and drop off parking lot off Alder Street. This lot offers an outer roundabout lane for quick pick up and drop off, and inner roundabout for exiting and allows for parking and waiting.

Students arriving after school start or leaving before school end can be picked up at the front of the school off Holm Road. The staff parking lot is not designed for flow through traffic and is intended for staff parking only, please do not use this lot for student pick up and drop off.

Parents of students in Blue Pod, please use the student pick up and drop off parking lot. Students walking, please either enter via our field (from the North) or via our newly created walkway at the corner of Alder and Holm (from the South). There should be no need for students to walk through the parking lots. Students biking, please park and lock your bikes in the bike area on Holm Road at the front of the school.
