April is Poetry Month!

April is Poetry Month! If you would like some assistance in enriching your poetry experience, chat with Ms. Brogan in the Library.

You could join the folks who are focusing on recitation (speaking poetry out loud), or you could use a few model poems as inspiration for students writing their own poetry.

She can help with a lesson on what to look for and how to mark up a poem in preparation for a reading performance, and videos of sample performances.

She can help you source some new material for model poems.

She can maybe help find some new writing starts and poetry frames if you want a refresh.

She will have a poetry cafe again at the end of April. If you're interested in a venue for a few students to showcase their skills, let her know.
