Safe Zone: A Zombie Film Now Available to Watch Online
Students from Carihi Secondary’s Video Productions class and Sayward Elementary have released their collaborative zombie movie, Safe Zone: A Zombie Film, for streaming.
Earlier this fall, Carihi students spent two days at Sayward Elementary teaching younger students about filmmaking. Together, they transformed the school into a movie set, planned scenes, learned about acting and makeup, and brought plenty of creativity to their roles. The project wrapped with a fun premiere event at Timberline Theatre on November 13, where students from both schools watched their work on the big screen.
Now, families and community members can enjoy the finished film online.

This project was led by Carihi video teacher Joe Shields, with support from Sayward Elementary staff and the Sayward Parent Advisory Council. It was a memorable learning experience for everyone involved and a great example of students sharing their skills across schools.
