Feast of the Heart: A Celebration of Love
Thursday, February 13th
Cortes Island School PAC is putting together a heartwarming event, the Feast of the Heart. This special hot lunch will be a celebration of love in all its forms—love for family, friends, community, and the world around us.
Menu:

- Garlic bread
- Veggies, fruit
- Apple walnut blondies
Our gym will be beautifully decorated to reflect the theme of love, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The meal to be announced by our PAC, will be a delightful surprise for all attendees.
Adding to the charm of the event, our talented students will showcase their artistic expressions through art and poetry, celebrating the theme of love. Their creations will be displayed around the gym, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the event.

Bringing a Little Nature Indoors - Feast

Our school is excited to present a special tree-themed lunch experience! The cafeteria will be adorned with beautiful artwork and poems created by our talented students, inspired by the beauty of nature. Enjoy your meal surrounded by the vibrant colors and creativity of our classrooms, bringing a little bit of the outdoors inside.

The Cortes Island School PAC invites all students to a special hot lunch event, Under the Stars Feast, on Thursday, November 21st.
Step into our gym, beautifully decorated with hundreds of fairy lights, creating a magical and cozy atmosphere perfect for a delightful meal.

The Cortes Island PAC recently hosted a delightful event called the Feast of Gratitude, where students enjoyed a delicious hot chicken dinner with garden-fresh potatoes and carrots, followed by a scrumptious pumpkin pie dessert. This special meal was not just about great food; it was an opportunity for students to learn about good manners and the importance gratitude.
The garden-to-table aspect of the Feast of Gratitude lunch was truly special. The potatoes and carrots served were harvested directly from the school’s garden, which the students help maintain throughout the year. This hands-on involvement in growing their own food not only teaches them valuable gardening skills but also fosters a deeper connection to the food they eat.
By participating in the entire process—from planting and tending the garden to harvesting and finally enjoying the meal—the students gain a comprehensive understanding of where their food comes from. This experience emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices and healthy eating habits. Plus, it adds a personal touch to the meal, making it even more meaningful and delicious!
