​Cortes Island School opened in 1979. The school has a small enrollment of approximately 50 students and the school's population feeds into Carihi Secondary School.

The intent of the Cortes School Code of Conduct is to establish guidelines for acceptable conduct to maintain a safe, caring, and orderly environment conducive for learning.

To register your child(ren), please visit the school office during regular school hours Monday to Friday. Following summer break, new registrations will be accepted when the school office re-opens the week immediately prior to the first day of school.

There are many opportunities to volunteer at our school! We welcome and value the contributions of school volunteers. It’s the efforts and support of our volunteers that strengthens our vibrant school community.
