Feild Trip Strathcona Gardens GR 2-9

Exciting Field Trip to Strathcona Gardens Recreation Centre!
Wednesday February 12th, 2025

Cortes Island School is thrilled to announce an upcoming field trip to Campbell River's Strathcona Gardens Recreation Centre for a day of skating and swimming! This adventure is open to Taylor's grades 5-9 and Christine's grades 2-4.

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM: Parents drop off students at Whaletown Ferry Terminal. Please ensure you check in with the teacher for attendance.
• 8:50 AM: Bus meets at Heriot Bay (the grocery store) for Quathiaski Cove Ferry (9:30 AM Ferry).
• 9:40 AM: Pick-up at Campbell River Ferry to Strathcona Gardens.
• 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM: Skating session.
• 12:15 PM - 12:45 PM: Lunch break.
• 12:45 PM - 1:45 PM: Swimming session.
• 2:05 PM: Depart Strathcona Gardens for Campbell River Ferry (2:25 PM Ferry).
• 2:35 PM: Bus from Quathiaski to Heriot Bay (3:05 PM Ferry).
• 3:50 PM: Parents pick up students at Whaletown Ferry Terminal.

Important Information:

• Swimming Gear: Please bring a towel and swimsuit.
• Skates: Bring your own or rentals are available. Please provide your size on the field trip form so this can be pre-arranged.
• Helmet: Required to be on the ice. Rentals are available but limited, so please bring a bike helmet if you have one.
• Pack 2 Snacks PIZZA will be provided after swimming
