Join Us for the Coho Fry Release at Larsons Meadow!

We are excited to announce our upcoming field trip to Larsons Meadow on Thursday morning, April 10th, for the annual Coho fry release. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about local wildlife and contribute to the conservation efforts of our beloved Coho salmon.

Event Details:

• Date: April 10th
• Location: Larsons Meadow
• Activity: Coho fry release

Schedule:

• 10:15 AM: Bus departs school
• 10:30 AM: Bus arrives at Larson’s Meadow Road
• 10:30 - 11:00 AM: Fry release
• 11:00 - 11:45 AM: 
  • K/1s observe 3-4 fry held
  • Gr 2/4s split into 2 groups and cycle through 2 stations: fry observation & creek observations (maybe drawing)
  • K/1s forest walk with Claudia & adult
• 11:45 AM: Students back on bus and return to school

Important Information:

• Weather: The forecast predicts wet conditions, so please dress appropriately. Waterproof jackets, boots, and umbrellas are recommended to ensure you stay dry and comfortable.
