Students Run in Honour of Terry Fox

This past week, students across the Campbell River School District laced up their runners to take part in the annual Terry Fox Run, carrying on the legacy of courage, hope, and determination that Terry inspired.
From elementary to middle schools, students showed their commitment by walking, jogging, and running together, while raising funds to support cancer research.
At Georgia Park Elementary, students raised $1,000 through their school run. Southgate Middle School also joined the effort with enthusiasm, raising $2,673 toward their school goal of $3,500 at the time of their run.
Each year, the Terry Fox Run is a reminder of the power of community and the impact students can have when they come together for a cause greater than themselves. Thank you to our schools, families, and community members for supporting cancer research and helping to keep Terry’s dream alive.
