Students will take part in a field trip to Red Granite on Cortes Island, focused on outdoor physical activity, nature observation, and preparation for longer outdoor field trips planned for June.
This trip includes a gentle hike/walk along a publicly accessible trail (located on privately owned land) leading to a scenic viewpoint. Along the way, students will explore the area’s unique geology and ecology, practicing observation skills and learning to move respectfully through natural environments.
Schedule
- Depart school: 9:30 a.m.
- Return to school: 12:30 p.m.
- Arrive at school: 1:00 p.m.
