Help Southgate Middle School Reach Its EDAS Toque Drive Target: Extended Until Dec. 5

Leadership students Aubryn Olsen and Dolly Chernoff with asking on behalf of Southgate students for more toque donations.

Southgate Middle School students are close to reaching their goal in this year’s EDAS toque drive. Since November 14, students have been collecting warm winter toques for the Everyone Deserves a Smile project, which supports people in need during the holiday season.

EDAS works with local students to spread kindness by creating and sharing homemade gifts that bring comfort to others at Christmas. This year, Southgate students set a goal of gathering 200 new toques. They are looking for men and non binary XL sizes and women’s medium sizes.

As of December 3, they were 67 toques away from their goal. Families who would like to help can drop off a new toque at the school or make a financial donation by e-transfer to southgate.accounting@sd72.bc.ca with “EDAS donation” in the message.

Donations will be accepted until December 5.
