Interactive Trades Expo Returns to Timberline Secondary on May 1

Events & Celebrations, General News, Curriculum & Learning
2026 Interactive Trades Expo

Students who are interested in learning about careers in the trades are invited to attend the Interactive Trades Expo on Friday, May 1 at Timberline Secondary School.

The event is hosted by WorkBC Centre - Campbell River in partnership with North Island College, School District 71 and School District 72, along with local industry and community partners. This is the second year the partners have worked together to offer the hands-on career exploration event for students.

The expo will give students the chance to meet local employers, educators and trades professionals, and learn about the skills and training needed for careers in a wide range of trades. Participants will be able to explore equipment, try interactive activities and ask questions about different career paths.

The event is intended for secondary students who want to learn more about opportunities in the trades or who are considering future training or employment in skilled trades programs.

Students interested in attending should sign up through their school’s careers office.

The Interactive Trades Expo is part of ongoing work to help students explore career options, connect with local employers and learn about training opportunities available in the region.
