Notice of Motion for Meetings and Child Care Board Policies

The Board of Education is considering changes to their existing board governance policy on meetings, as well as adoption of a new policy on child care. A notice of motion was issued at the February 3, 2026 public board meeting requesting that feedback be sent to the policy review committee through the superintendent's office (natalie.crawshaw@sd72.bc.ca) before February 19. The board will be considering all feedback and the motions at the February 24, 2026 public board meeting.

The meetings policy is being changed to remove the requirement that the board meet on the first Tuesday in September following Labour Day and to make minor text edits. The proposed new child care policy is to meet the requirements of the Child Care Ministerial Order M326.
