Terry Fox Run

We are looking forward to our annual Terry Fox Run on Friday, September 19th at Penfield.

We’ll start the afternoon with a short assembly in the gym at 1:00 p.m., and then head outside together for a simple supervised run around the neighborhood directly surrounding Penfield. Parents are welcome to join us! This is always a special event for our school, and a great way for students to learn about Terry’s story and take part in keeping his dream alive.

Students are encouraged to wear running shoes and clothes they’ll feel comfortable moving in, and to dress for the weather since we’ll be outside.

If you’d like, please send along a “Toonie for Terry” (or any donation) to support the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research.

After the run is complete, students will head back to class for a popsicle. Please do not take students home from outside, they must return to their class so we can be sure that everyone is accounted for.
