Pinecrest Classes Dig In to Learn With Fall Daffodil Planting

Pinecrest Elementary students in Mrs. Robertson's grade 3/4 class, Mrs. Quinn's grade 4 class, and Mr. Majic's grade 4/5 class got their gardening shovels and gloves on to plant daffodil bulbs this fall. 

These bulbs are a part of the Planting a Promise program through B.C. Agriculture in the classroom. The initiative has provided all three classes with 35-bulbs – enough for each student and then some – to plant in the fall before the frost. 

The students learn about the plant life cycle, the different parts of bulbs, and in the spring, they will observe, record, and collect data on their growth. It is a fun, learning-filled activity that will beautify the front of the school in the spring!
