Power Outages at Schools

Schools remain open during power outages unless the district announces otherwise.

During an outage, a school may temporarily lose phone service. If you are unable to reach the school by phone, this does not mean the school is closed.

We continue to monitor conditions in affected schools, including heat, lighting, access to water and other factors that may affect student and staff safety and comfort.

If conditions require a school to close or change its operations, we will post an update on the district and affected school(s) websites.

Unless you receive a closure notice, please assume your child’s school is open.
