Vortex (Grades 9 - 11)

This full-day, wellness-focused program provides students with creative, hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and confidence. Structured in an exploratory learning environment that is curiosity-driven and has an inquiry-based format where students engage in learning that integrates arts and crafts, science, literacy, and numeracy. The program encourages creativity and innovation as students work on cross-curricular learning that connects academic concepts to meaningful, practical applications. 

The learning setting is a calm environment with low lighting, and flexible support, to prioritize student well-being and engagement. Success is this program is built on consistent attendance and active participation in daily collaborative activities. Students complete curricular outcomes and in grades 10 and 11, earn credits toward graduation through a balance of academic learning, creativity, and community building to support a lifelong love of learning.
