On Friday, February 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 300 students ages 10 to 18 will showcase their impressive trades and technology talents in the Skills Canada Vancouver Island North regional competition at North Island College's Campbell River campus.
Senior students will take part in hands‑on and creative challenges in areas such as Auto, Baking, Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, Culinary Arts, Electronics, Robotics, Welding, Video Production, 2D and 3D Computer Animation, Digital Art, Graphic Design, and Photography.
Junior participants will explore engineering and problem‑solving through engaging events including Gravity Car, Potential Energy Vehicle, Spaghetti Bridge Building, Wind Turbine Construction, and LEGO Mindstorm Robotics.
