Statement on Safety Concerns Raised Online

We are aware of rumours about a possible threat involving students at our secondary schools.

School District 72 was in contact with the RCMP as soon as the information came to our attention. Police investigated and confirmed there is no credible threat.

Police have advised the information originated from outside our community and did not involve a local student.

Student and staff safety remains our top priority. We continue to work closely with police and follow established safety procedures.

We ask families to rely on information shared by the school or the district and to avoid spreading rumours, as they can cause unnecessary concern.
