📸 Day in the Life at École Willow Point 🌟 It’s the first week with new teachers and classmates, and students are already diving right into learning! ✨ Mme Davis’ class explored estimating in math. 🎶 We peaked into Mme Liske's music room as students participated in an interactive lesson. 🎨 Mme Murray’s kindergarten class let their creativity shine with art. ➕➖ Mme Vinnedge’s grade 4s practiced increasing and decreasing continuation in math. 📖 Mme Johnstone’s grade 2/3 students read together and discussed what it means to have a growth mindset as part of social-emotional learning. 📝 Mme Bruinsma’s grade 4/5 students worked on their English spelling. A great start to the year at École Willow Point, full of creativity, curiosity, and connection. 💙 #DayInTheLife #CRSD72 #SD72Learns

🎶🥁 Staff at Penfield started their year in a powerful way – through song, story, and drum painting. On the August 28 Pro-D day, Qwaya Sam and his son guided staff in finishing the drums they had started making together last year. Qwaya opened the morning with drumming and singing, sharing reflections on culture before staff began painting designs he had prepared over the summer. The activity was meaningful, creative, and uplifting – a wonderful way to begin the school year together. Once completed, each class will have their own drum, and Qwaya plans to continue working with the Penfield drum group. It was truly a positive start to the year! ✨ #CRSD72 #ProD #LearningTogether
