Carihi Musical Theatre is proud to present the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce Something Rotten! Created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick and acclaimed screenwriters Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Something Rotten! is one of the funniest and most inventive musicals to hit the stage.

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play, but they find themselves living in the long shadow of the ultimate Renaissance rock star: William Shakespeare. When a local soothsayer predicts that the future of theatre will involve singing, dancing, and acting all at the same time, the Bottom brothers set out to create the world’s very first musical. As opening night approaches and chaos ensues, Nick and Nigel discover that success comes not from rivalry, but from learning to be “true to thine own self.”

Packed with show-stopping song and dance numbers and a wildly comedic cast of over-the-top characters, Something Rotten! gives everyone a moment to shine. During its Broadway run, audiences were so thrilled they gave a standing ovation at the start of the first act! With its infectious energy and clever humor, it proves that “nothing’s as amazing as a musical.” Don’t miss your chance to experience this laugh-out-loud theatrical triumph.

Shows will run April 22 to 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available through Tidemarktheatre.com.

🚀 Cedar students are reaching for the stars! Last week, Grade 1/2 classes at Cedar Elementary learned about the Artemis II mission and created artwork to cheer on Jeremy Hansen and the crew. Their pieces reflect both the current mission and the future. Many students imagined themselves as astronauts, with one shared message: “We are dreaming of walking on the moon one day.” It’s inspiring to see young learners connect their learning to big goals and even bigger dreams. 🌙✨ #CRSD72 #FutureReady #StudentVoice
