On October 17, 2026 voters in BC will elect mayors, councilors, area directors, school trustees and others to fill four-year terms on municipal councils, regional district boards, school boards, and other public organizations.

A new outdoor learning space has taken shape at Pinecrest Elementary. 🌲🪵Beautiful cedar slab benches, built by Cody Card, have been added to the school grounds with support from Indigenous Education funding. Each Friday over the last month, classes have gathered here for drumming sessions with Will Henderson 🥁 The sound carries through the forest beside the school and board office. 🌷 Georgia Park Elementary has been named Canada’s winner of the Golden Flower Bulb 2026 🏆 Students were recognized for their spring bulb planting project, standing out among more than 2,000 classes from around the world. A special box from Bulbs4Kids is on the way, and students will take part in a school unveiling to celebrate.
