Carihi Fire Recovery Update: Sept. 2026

As students and staff return for the 2026-2027 school year, work continues on the recovery and reconstruction of Carihi Secondary. Building permits for the gym have been submitted, site preparation is underway, and major construction is schedule to begin in October. Planning and design work continues on the replacement of A-Wing.

The gym is scheduled to be complete and ready for student use in time for September 2027. Work on A-Wing will overlap with the gym reconstruction, but it is a separate project with a longer design and construction timeline. A-Wing is expected to open in September 2028.
