Safe Zone
We are thrilled to share the final cut of Safe Zone, a short film created by the talented Carihi Video Productions crew under the guidance of their amazing teacher, Joe Shields. This incredible project brought the Carihi team to Sayward School for an overnight camp-in, where they filmed alongside our students over two exciting days.
Last week, we celebrated with a unique “simulcast” premiere at Timberline Secondary Theater—Carihi joined in person while Sayward and Phoenix connected virtually for a meet-the-cast-and-crew event. Seeing our Sayward students on the big screen was an unforgettable moment!
And the excitement doesn’t stop there—the Campbell River Film Festival has reached out to feature Safe Zone in their upcoming showcase this February/March. Stay tuned for more details!
We are so proud to have been part of this creative journey. Please check out the link below, enjoy the film, and share it with family and friends!
A huge thank you to all that helped make this unique opportunity happen. We hope you enjoy it as much as the students enjoyed creating it.
