Kai’s Call out March 2026

Could it be that spring has sprung or is it too early to get excited? February seems a distant memory, a great big thank you to our PAC for supporting our rock climbing and gymnastics field trip. A big shout out to our staff for supporting the Belonging Assembly and the ongoing work of all the students who have been leaning into their school work and community building (our Circle of Courage Wall is growing daily), there is also more than just a “sprinkling” of kindness (even though the activity on pink shirt day was to “sprinkle” kindness) happening around the school.

Spring Break is on the horizon March 23  April 8th (April 7 is a Pro-D Day). Report cards will be ready to go home with students on March 19, and our next Student Led conference day will be April 30thPlanning for spring activities has started (okay a little too early to get excited about the bike rodeo, camp bob, miracle beach, fun day….) but it is happening!

In April we will be focussing on Independence as the third part of our Circle of Courage work. Independence is an important area of growth for kids; decision making and behaviour regulation are essential for growth and resilience. All are skill building to resist negative peer influence and foster self-esteem.

As always if you have any questions or concerns how things are going for your student on their learning journey or how things are going in general in their class or school, please reach out and connect with their teacher for updates. If you have questions or want to share some great ideas or opportunities for our school, please contact me directly.
