Principals Message for Winter Break

Winter Break – Kai’s Call Out  

Dear Families 

I hope for everyone a restful break and quality time with those closest to you. December was a blur with the Christmas Concert/potluck/shopping days/bake sales…. I truly enjoyed watching everyone lean in and support our students get the most out of their school days, everyone is tired BUT happy! 

Our first day back will be January 5th, I look forward to reconnecting and hearing about everyone’s adventures. Once we get back into our school’s routines, we will be taking the time to continue our Circle of Courage work, focussing on Belonging as we come together again. We will be looking forward to our Thursday sessions with Will Henderson as he guides us through drumming and sharing his teachings with us (some of you met him at the Potluck).  

Thank you to all the volunteers and staff that have created the amazing opportunities we have had through the fall. Thank you to parents and guardians for helping with morning routines and supporting your children to be “school ready” (sometimes getting out of the door in the morning IS the hardest part!). And Last but not least a Big Thank You to all the students for putting your best effort forward every day to make Sayward Elementary such a fun place to play and learn.
