Independent Directed Study 10/11/12

Create your own course of study for 1,2,3 or 4 course credits.  Students in the past have studied such topics as:

  • dog emotion and cognition
  • the truth about cats and dogs 
  • introduction to dental medicine
  • vital signs understanding what the body is telling us
  • child nutrition and cooking
  • the science of exercise
  • positive psychology and resilience skills
  • do you have what it takes to be a vet
  • public speaking
  • academic writing
  • photography
  • create your own idea

See Ms. Camerin for details and to get started on planning your own course of study.  Students in Grade 10 and 11 can acquire unlimited elective credits.  Students in Grade 12 can acquire 16 elective credits. IDS is truly a step into personalized learning.
