Over the past school year, Robron students took part in Flowing Together—a powerful, year-long collaborative art project led by artist and knowledge holder Greg Henderson. Supported by ArtStarts in Schools, with materials generously donated by Home Hardware and Home Depot, the project brought students together each week from September to June for sessions focused on identity, storytelling, and drumming.

Each student created a personal art piece that represented their individual and ancestral identity. These pieces were then joined together to form a stunning mosaic mural, now proudly displayed at the school.

The mural is more than just a piece of art—it’s a symbol of the strength of community and the importance of each individual’s contribution to the whole. Through drumming, art-making, and shared reflection, students explored who they are and how they connect to those around them.

The project culminated in a special unveiling ceremony on June 23 at 11 a.m., led by Greg Henderson, and was followed by a BBQ lunch in the school courtyard. The unveiling of the mural marks the culmination of a meaningful creative journey – one that fostered connection, pride, and a deepened sense of belonging for students and staff alike.
