Welcome to School District 72! If your family has moved to the Campbell River area over the summer, we’re excited to have you join our community. Here's what you need to know to get your child ready for the school year:
When to Register
School offices reopen for registration on August 25. In the meantime, use our school locator tool to find out which school you should register at. If you’re unsure, contact the school board office for help at (250) 830.2300.
How to Register
Once offices are open, you’ll need to visit your child’s school in person to complete the registration process. Please bring:
• Your child’s Canadian birth certificate or proof of citizenship
• Your child’s BC Services Card
• Proof of your current address (e.g., utility bill, purchase/rental agreement)
• Custody agreement, if applicable.
Need a School Bus?
Families eligible for school bus transportation (based on walk limits or accessibility needs) must submit a bus pass application. Apply online as soon as possible to help ensure your child receives a pass by the first week of school. Learn more at our Student Transportation page.
Not in Canada Yet?
If your child is coming from outside of Canada and will be attending school here, please contact our international student program at (250) 830.2338 for assistance with enrollment.
We’re here to help every step of the way—whether you’ve just arrived or are getting ready to move. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the school board office with any questions.
Let’s get ready for a great year ahead!
