Phoenix Class Raised $4,000 for Canadian Charity Water First

After fundraising all year, Ms. Gordon's grade 6/7 class at École Phoenix Middle School raised $4,000 for the Canadian charity Water First. Water First is a Canadian charity that works exclusively with Indigenous communities about water restoration and preservation. They run internship programs for young Indigenous people, school programs, and water restoration projects. For more information, visit www.waterfirst.ngo.

The class wants to give a big thank you to the companies and organizations who partnered with them to fundraise this year: We Wai Kai Nation, Aroma Coffees and Stonehouse Teas, World's Finest Chocolates, and Domino's Pizza. Also, thank you to the many community members who bought from one or more of the fundraisers or donated towards the class' fundraising efforts.
